Luminiff Lad prevails

Reunited with jockey Danny Beasley, 'The Lad' was super in yesterday's race 6 at Kranji over 1000m on the polytrack winning by a neck from Anonymous with Northern Boss further back in third.

Trainer, Steven Burridge has prepared the Irish-bred four-year-old for three starts having taken over from Brian Dean and seems to have found the key to unlocking his true potential – keeping him on the fresh side. Beasley, who has had great success with the horse in previous starts, agrees that the horse runs best by keeping his races well-spaced and credits Burridge for his smart handling of the gelding.

With four wins in nine starts, Luminiff Lad has increased his earning to more than SG$170,000 for his owners.
