Paparazzi Happy To Have Photo Taken

While we needed to wait until the second last race on the G1 Kranji Mile 10-card raceday, it was surely worth it as the highly anticipated debut of Paparazzi went to script, with the Shane Baertschiger-trained gelding recording a length-and-three-quarter Singapore debut victory.

Originally sold at the Inglis Easter yearling sale for $2.2 million, the full-brother to the Group 1-winning two-year-old and now Newgate Farm based Sizzling, was purchased by Premier Racing Partnerships Wade Burridge for the Baertschiger’s great client War stable.

Immediately gelded and given time to acclimatise in Singapore, the now four-year-old was readied for his Singapore debut with twoo easy barrier trials.

Taking on a large field over the 1200m on the turf track, jockey Glen Boss settled him back a little further than was expected from a mid-line gate.

When the field charged into the final bend, Boss ensured his mount was well-balance before he pulled out wide, gathering in those ahead of him in a matter of strides for a barnstorming victory, defeating a classy field with ease to highlight himself as an extremely promising horse and one to watch.

Premier Racing Partnerships and the Shane Baertschigger stable are building a formidable record, achieving six winners this year; Aramaco saluting the judge on three occasions while Marine Treasure has produced two quality wins.

With another four unraced runners in the stable, who also look above average, it appears as if the team will continue onwards and upwards with the rich vein of form over the months to come.

The Premier Racing Partnership team would like to congratulate the War Stable, Shane Baertschigger and Glen Boss on the victory, and we look forward to further success.
