Second Singapore Victory For Kolombia

Trainer Dan Meagher appears to have a handy four-year-old on his hands after Premier Racing Partnerships private purchase Kolombia recorded his second victory from five starts in Singapore, winning on Sunday.

Originally named General Wind and racing from the Gold Coast stable of Toby Edmonds in Australia where the son of All American won two from two, Kolombia made his Singapore debut in March before winning at just his second local start.

Three starts later on Group 1 Singapore Derby race day, the gelding was back in the winner’s stall.

Settling in the lead after working hard to get there, Kolombia controlled the tempo of the race and once the field headed for home, it appeared as if he would lose out, especially when the runner-up had his head clearly in front.

Jockey Danny Beasley was able to pull Kolombia off the canvas, and he stuck his head out when it mattered to take the win.

Special congratulations to owners Aramco Stable on the victory and we can’t wait to see further wins from Kolombia.
